HOW TO APPLY NUMBING CREAM BEFORE A TATTOO
When to Apply:
Apply 60–90 minutes before your tattoo session.
What You’ll Need:
- Numbing Cream
- Mild soap and water
- Clean towel
- Plastic wrap (like cling film)
- Medical tape (optional)
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
- Clean the Area - Wash the skin with mild soap and warm water.
- Pat dry with a clean towel.
- Make sure the area is completely clean and dry.

- Apply the Cream - Apply a thick layer of Numbing Cream to the area (about the size of a nickel per square inch).
- Do not rub it in completely — leave some visible layer on top.

- Cover the Area - Cover the area with plastic wrap to lock in heat and activate the numbing agents.
- Make sure the wrap is snug but not too tight.
- Use medical tape to secure the edges if necessary.

- Wait - Leave the cream and wrap on for at least 45–60 minutes.
- You can go up to 90 minutes for large or more sensitive areas.

- Remove Before Tattooing ( your artist will do this at the appointment ) - Take off the plastic wrap.
- Gently wipe off any remaining cream with a damp cloth or paper towel.
- The skin should feel numb to the touch.

Extra Tips:
- Do a patch test 24 hours in advance if it’s your first time using the product.
- Only reapply during a session if your tattoo artist allows it.
- Don’t apply to broken, irritated, or healing skin.
